Erik wrote an arrangement of Moanin 'by Charles Mingus for the holiday orchestra Adhoc 2019. Daan van Koppen was the great soloist who was no less than Leo Pellingro, which made this piece and especially this version very well known.

Moanin 'means as much as moan, sigh, groan, support .. in any case, the baritone saxophonist is completely detached and takes the entire orchestra in a great anarchy in this wonderfully bold Jazz song that is not often played and certainly not by harmony, Wind and brassbands.

Required improvising soloists are: Baritone Sax, Trumpet and Alto Sax - a good drummer and bass player can also come in handy.
